Why did Elasticsearch skip from version 2.4 to version 5.0? -

according release history, elastic search switched 2.4 5.0.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/elasticsearch#history unable find documentation online happened between version 2 , 5 makes difficult decide whether wise upgrade.
