sitecore8 - How to set up many to one relationship in Sitecore -

let me preface saying i'm pretty new both sitecore , c# gentle. i'm setting products sitecore items new website working on. each product have dozens of replacement parts associated it. each part may or may not associated associated multiple products. i'm trying determine best way set taking account creating , possibly reusing parts across products , how best associate parts products.

use list data type multilist , treelist (with search) on product template parts.

avoid lots of items in single folder can give performance issues in cms. (up 100 okay). create tree structure te parts if have many parts, or use bucket. bucket many thousands of items.
